If you have a well-visited website or a blog, then you can also consider adding someEarn money with it.
There are several options that you can use for this.
- PayPer Click campaigns such as Google AdSense ads
- Commissions from various affiliate programs
- Paid articles
- Rent advertising space on the site
- Sell/Rent Links
- etc.
There are also a few things you should keep in mind:
When is it worthwhile to place advertising on your own website / blog?
In principle, you can place advertising right from the start. But I wouldn't recommend this straight away. Your first focus should always be on attracting visitors to your site and continuously increasing visitor numbers. You can only achieve this with regular and good Content. With good videos in which you show others step by step: How to do what? (tutorial videos or "How to do?" videos) and then upload them to YouTube and link them to your site.
In forums relevant to the topic you actively participate, give good advice and then link to one of your articles (Do not advertise!). And social networks like: XingFacebook, Twitter, Google+ & Co. in order to increase your name recognition and thus also Backlinks to be obtained.
From how many visitors is it worthwhile to place advertising?
The opinions of various experts differ here. Some say from 200 a day, others from 500 - 1000 visitors a day. The most important thing, however, is the quality of the visitors. Are they visitors who are also interested in your topic? Or visitors who have come to your website by chance? Visitors who come to your site specifically via search engines not only have significantly lower bounce rates, but also higher click-through rates.
That's why it's better to have 200 "high-quality" visitors than 1000 "lost" visitors
Focus on the right partner programs!
Again and again I see sites that report on a certain topic and place ads from completely different areas. This is guaranteed not to earn any money! If you have a website on a specific topic, then the affiliate programs should also fit this topic. Or at least be from a market niche that is similar to your topic.
For example: You write a blog on the topic of "back pain". Then relevant affiliate programs could be for you: Books against back pain, medical supply stores, manufacturers of massage chairs,Relaxation CDs, providers of wellness weekends, massage practices...
Partner programs with similar offers would be e.g. online pharmacies, online health food stores...
Pay attention to the correct placement of the ads!
The type of ad (banner, text link) can also have an impact on the click rate and therefore on sales. If you want to place AdSense ads, Google gives you recommendations on the type of ad, the size and the placement on your site: Best practices for ad placement (click link)
Advertising banners are out? No, that's not true. As long as you don't run a banner farm and (as mentioned above) place ads that are relevant to the topic, the banners will be clicked. Text links also have a good click-through rate if they are perceived by the reader as "further" information.
Find the right affiliate programs!
Now you just need to find the right affiliate programs. The major affiliate program networks can help you with this. You can register here free of charge and open an account. Then choose the right affiliate program, integrate an advertising medium into your site and if everything goes well, the first commissions won't be long in coming!
Note: With some PP networks, some partner programs are only activated after your site has been checked.
Tip! Register with various PP networks so that you are always up to date when new partner programs are launched or there are promotions. However, only promote the partner programs of some of these networks, as you have to make a minimum turnover for the rewards to be paid out to you. After all, what good is it if you have 40 euros in commissions on 10 different PP networks and you only receive the money when you make 50-100 euros?
That's why it's better to advertise the partner programs via 2-3 good PP networks, but do it right! I use the following affiliate program networks myself and can therefore only recommend them to you:
