What is the function of JavaScript?
scripting language and not Java: In fact, has JavaScript has nothing to do with Java. So why is it called "Java" script? As JavaScript was first released, it was called Mocha, later it was renamed to LiveScript and then to JavaScript renamed when Netscape (founded JavaScript) and Sun entered into a license agreement.
- Object-based scripting language: which supports polymorphism, encapsulation and, to some extent, inheritance.
- Interpreted language: It does not have to be compiled like Java and C, which have a Compiler need.
- JavaScript runs in a Browser: You can run it with Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Safari, etc. JavaScript can be used not only in the Browserbut also on the server and any device with a JavaScript Engine to be executed.
Currently we have hundreds of programming languages and new languages are being developed every day. Among them are a few powerful languages that are causing big changes in the market, and JavaScript is one of them.
