What is a search engine algorithm?

Unique in every Search Engine and just as important as keywords, search engine algorithms are the why and how of search engine rankings. Basically, a Search engine algorithm a set of rules or a unique formula that defines the Search Engine used to determine the importance of a web page, and each Search Engine has its own rules. These rules determine whether a web page is real or just spam, whether it has important data that people would be interested in, and many other features to evaluate and list the results for each search query started to create an organized and informative search engine results page. The algorithms, as they are used for each Search Engine are also closely guarded secrets, but there are certain things that all search engine algorithms have in common.


How does a search engine algorithm work?

1. relevance

One of the first things a Search engine algorithm searches, is the Relevance of the page. Whether it's just scanning for keywords or looking at how those keywords are used, the algorithm will determine if that web page is even a Relevance for the respective Keyword has. Where the keywords are located is also an important factor for the Relevance of a website. Web pages that have the keywords in the title as well as in the headline or the first lines of the text will be considered for this Keyword rank better than websites that do not have these features. The frequency of the keywords is also important for the Relevance important. If the keywords are frequent, but not the result of the Keyword-filling, the website will be better placed.


2. individual factors

A second part of the search engine algorithms are the individual factors that make this particular Search Engine From any other Search Engine out there. Any Search Engine has unique algorithms, and the individual factors of these algorithms are the reason why a search query on Google returns different results than MSN or Yahoo! One of the most common individual factors is the number of pages a Search Engine indexed. You can simply have more pages indexed, or index them more frequently, but this can lead to different results for each Search Engine lead. Some search engines also penalize for spamming, while others do not.


3. off-page factors

Another part of the algorithms, which is necessary for each Search Engine is still individual, are off-page factors. Off-page factors include click-through measurement and linking. The frequency of click-through rates and linking can be an indicator of how relevant a website is to actual users and visitors, and this can cause an algorithm to rank the website higher. Off-page factors are for Webmaster more difficult to design, but depending on the Search engine algorithm have an enormous influence on the page rank.

Search engine algorithms are the secret behind search engines, sometimes even amusingly referred to as the "secret sauce" of the Search Engine designates. In addition to the basic functions of a Search Engine, the Relevance of a website, the off-page factors and the unique factors of each Search Engine help make the algorithms of each machine an important part of the design of the Search engine optimization to make.
