We are all familiar with these New Year's resolutions: Finally change jobs, work on your belly fat or increase your wealth by investing or saving. But which resolutions are the most popular? What do most Germans want to work on in the new year? Our GoogleKeyword-analysis. We looked at keywords related to New Year's resolutions and examined how often they are searched for on Google in the individual months.
"Visionboard": Personal development is the most popular New Year's resolution
The term "vision board" stands out in particular in our study: if we compare the average Search volume on New Year's Eve with the average Search volume in the respective year, we see a growth in interest of around 44.59 percent on average over all the years examined. Incidentally, a vision board is a visualization of goals, dreams and ideas, similar to a scrapbook. We discovered "giving up alcohol" in second place. Interest in this topic of suffering increased by 43.13 percent.
However, Germans are not lacking in self-confidence: The search term "become more self-confident" loses around 13.43 percent of searchers' interest around New Year.
